My dad started me off in music at age 7 having me play his stand up bass along with my two brothers. For me it really was a stand up bass ( I had to stand up on the bed to play it! ) I`ve been playing in bands , everything from polkas to southern rock ever since. I didn`t start writing until I got stuck working an afternoon shift and couldn`t do the band thing anymore. Which goes to show you that there often is a silver lining to what may look like a bad situation. I live in N.E. Ohio , but I do come to Nashville occasionally. And I`m always looking for cowriters.

miche Not, as you might expect, an album of hard rocking trucking songs from a Good Ol’ Boy In A Stetson In The Deep South, but an album of acoustic-ish rural country from deepest London. Having started out in the 1970s in various bands, given up music for a while to work, very successfully, in film, Chris Tulloch aka Mandolin Jack is now returning to his first love and wryly summing up his musical life thus: ‘lots of fans and adulation / but not much remuneration.../ we pay our dues in strange venues / the agent never checks us / we don’t rock like ZZ Top / and we don’t come from Texas’ (Texas). Words that will strike a chord with many a musician, and indeed many of the words elsewhere will strike similar chords with listeners.

SONG SAMPLES:
I REALLY LOOK GOOD FROM FAR AWAY
I MARRIED A SAINT
DISLOCATED WALLET
PATCH ON MY HEART
CANARY IN YOUR COAL MINE
THE BOTTOMS WHERE I CALL HOME

My name's Wil and like some songwriters I really look good from far away,I married a saint, I have a dislocated wallet brought on by some serious brokness. I have patches on my heart, sometimes I feel like a Canary in a coal mine and the bottoms where I call home, and that's only the half of it. So it looks like I have a lot to draw on. Despite these deficiencies, I work well with others. If you like what you hear give me a holler. Thanks for listening.

I am a perspiring drummer, and aspiring songwriter. Years ago I was working with a member of Buck Owen's band (Terry Christoffersen) in a side project. This the guy who replaced Don Rich! Terry is a VERY talented Steel player, guitarist and vocalist too (I hate him) kidding...I was trying to pry a good story out of him one night, when I realized DUH, those are all BUCK'S SONGS he plays on... which is cool enough, but to write the songs... WOW! I started doing the math... the songwriter gets paid from every Cd sold, radio, downloads, ringtones etc. The guys that played on it (with all respect) get to listen to it...my dream of playing a drum track on a famous song seemed like I didn't think this through. I'm going to hunt down my high school guidence counsellor and kill him. But my new dream of writing songs begins! Having a hit song is something to tell your Grandkids about someday or pay for their college... well, If your gonna dream...dream big! I learn something in every song I write and it gets more exciting all the time.

I remember my first appreciation for the power of music struck me on a Sunday evening at age 10 as I watched the Beatles performing "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" on the Ed Sullivan show. The reaction from the audience I witnessed on that small black and white screen was a real eye (and ear) opener for me. Not many years after that I began teaching myself guitar and started to write songs. As I got older it was my love of a good story that converted me into a country songwriter. I've always enjoyed reading about other writers, and one of the most memorable quotes I ever read was by Johnny Cash who said he used the "KISS" method of writing. An acronym for "Keep It Simple Stupid". I thought that sounded pretty easy, WRONG!!!! I learned quickly that writing a simple song is not easy. After a lifetime of writing, and several spiral bound notebooks, I hope I have grown to be a better writer, and hope I will always continue to improve. I have had a few songs published, a few songs on independent artist albums, and a few placed on hold by such artists as Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, etc.

I live in Kansas and have a wonderful loving family, but I travel to Nashville every chance I get. My songs are demoed in Nashville and pitched by Song Rocket Music. I still have dreams of making it to the big show someday, and hopefully being able to work with more Nashville publishers, artists, and labels. Thank you for listening.

Terry has played at the famous Bluebird Cafe thirty-plus times. Born and raised in a small mid Ohio town. Raised on southern cookin and southern lovin. Mom and Dad were from Tennessee and came north up that hillbilly highway looking for work. The roots of my raising run deep into the south. Not long after I was born we were back in Tennessee and then in Florida. But in the early 60's not much work was to be found south of the Mason-Dixon line, so back north we came. As far back as I can remember music was in my life. My Dad would sit around the house and strum an old guitar. And then out on the weekends he'd go playing in some old honky tonk. So I guess from an early age this life appealed to me. And I knew I would do the same. And I have. I have played and sang from California to Florida and I even did some singing when I was in Germany with some Army buddies. The road has been my life and my life will always be the road. Dad once told me 'Always be yourself' and with my songs I try to be myself. I was raised on Jimmie Rodgers, Lefty, Merle, and a slew of other good damn country singers. Plus my Dad, who just never got the break he deserved. So I took my guitar and hit the road looking for that lost highway and that unwrittable song.
